Water and Honey

Water is one of the most important factors in the equation of life on earth. It sustains or contributes to the existence of every living organism to such a degree that without it life on earth would perish. It pervades our bodies, quenches our thirsts, and cleans our bodies.

Water can cut through solid stone via a process called cavitation, which in 1983 made a 50 foot deep and 135 foot long hole in solid concrete at Glen Canyon Dam (seen here.) To help you imagine the size of this hole it took 2,300 cubic yards of concrete to fill! Then on the other hand it can create crystalline beauties which dissipate at the slightest hint of warmth (seen here.) Water is an amazing and powerful friend (and sometimes enemy) of man.

Then there is honey. Honey is certainly not as important as water but I do not think it is any less amazing. For example to make just one pound of honey it takes a colony of worker bees, visiting over 2,000,000 flowers to gather the nectar, and then flying a distance equal to two circles round earth if it was magnified to our scale (visit this site )! Add to this the fact that honey is super tasty, good for your skin, and will almost never spoil (they say honey was found in Egyptian tombs) and one can begin to realize why it is a sort of wonder food!

But what happens when you mix the two and allow them to sit awhile? My grandpa used to raise bees when I was a kid, and one of the first things that he taught me was never to get water in the honey, not even a little. The reason being it will spoil and become inedible. I have never had any but I am sure rotten honey is a horrible biscuit topper.

As water poured into honey, so is politics poured into religion. When you mix these things it not only ruins the goodness of each component, but it creates a poison deadlier than cone snail venom (seen here), and more destructive than hydrochloric acid.

Any who would care to dispute my claims need only look back upon the pages of history. The exact number of those killed by the papacy in dark ages is still unknown but estimated in the millions. And let us not forget the crusades, as well as all the Salem witch hunts, the civil wars and deaths in India, as well as the current abuses of extremist Muslim groups of the Islamic faith. No matter which religion is in control it will go bad. It may not at first, just as water poured into honey does not sour instantly, however it will in time.

I dread what outcome the politically active Christian organizations might accomplish. It doesn’t matter if they are the “true” faith or not, that is not the issue, the issue is that they have not the right to use people’s faith as a way to get votes. The forefathers saw this and thus made a separation between church and state. As much as my Bible carrying friends would like to say so, our nation was not, is not, and I pray to God, will never be a “Christian” nation. Yes, many who live here are of the Christian persuasion, but there are many more who are not, and no law crafted by the Christian majority should be forced upon them.

Civil law is a necessary thing, but a common morality cannot be legislated. People would like to point to God not being in the school system, or judicial system as the reason for the corruption of our society, I say the corruption stems from the absence of wise and love filled counsel in the home of each and every family that calls themselves American.

Power, and law cannot change a man’s opinion, how much less his faith, or philosophy upon life. You want to change those things? Then show with love, persuasion, open mindedness and concern your way, and will be more likely to obtain your objective. However if your objective is anything besides genuine love for the life which stands before you, you have it wrong to begin with. The gentle warmth of the sun has caused many a man to remove his coat, where the powerful northern wind has only succeeded in causing him to pull it more tightly about him. Love and softness transmute the hardest and most hateful.

Why is it that religionist use force you ask? It is because they lack spirituality. All religious systems or people resort to pomp, force and lies when the pure powers of love, justice, truth, and mercy not longer abide in their temples (of foundation or head). Swords can cut off arms, legs, and even heads, but they cannot change the heart of man. Again I say words and acts filled and expressed in love are all that do this.

Remember these things as you go to the polls. Spread these things to your friends. All must see that it is not the way of true spirituality to force the will of another human. That tactic is only used by evil. Unfortunately however such villainy all too often covers its lust, greed, self importance, and lack of Spirituality with the robe of religion and goodness, so that the masses will give feed it the power it needs to consume their freedom of mind and body.

God save us all from your so called “followers”.
