Sunbeams

on Dec 06 in Poetry/Prose by admin

Instead of a holy rose,

They seem to give us a bloody nose,

And money makes the wheels go round,

That’s why I sit here on the ground.

Sunbeam of dopamine, Healthier than gasoline, I wish you’d run like a mighty steam, Cause I’m deep in emergencies.

Movin’ at the speed of light,

Makes it hard to reflect on life,

And everyone sings of the otherside,

While we choke on bombs and holy silence.

Sunbeam of dopamine, Healthier than amphetamines, Won’t you churn like a roaring sea, Cause I’m swimming in suffering.

Wolves speak in mournful tongues,

But they never cry over bitter bones,

So like the one who comprehended ice cream cones,

Let’s just eat our sweetness and leave other’s alone.

Sunbeam of dopamine, Always appearing so subtly Your ambrosia from Eternity, To help me ford this Tragedy.
